I Love Virtualization

I love creating and having a dozen different virtual machines on a single computer. I still have a favorite program that only runs on a 32-bit operating system, so I have to create a virtual machine for it with a 32-bit Windows OS in that virtual machine, in order to run this program on my 64-bit operating systems. I stick this program into a Virtual Machine with 32-bit Windows XP Pro in there, turn off the virtual network adapter and internet connection within the virtual machine along with turning off the 'missing anti-virus' warning in XP. Then I just launch and run this 32-bit program from the Windows 7 or Windows 8 desktop.

VMware Player is free for personal use. This is what I have used to create my personal arsenal of virtual machines:

As time allows, I'll come back, discuss this topic, and answer questions. Meanwhile, download and install VMware Player, start playing with it and have some fun, and then come back here and tell us what you learned.
